Everything In Life Has a MeasurementMeasured Judgement
Jesus Quote On Measuring
“Judge not for with the judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, Let me remove the sliver from your eye; When you have a plank in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the piece of wood from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the wood sliver from your brother’s eye.
“Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces.”
Removing the Sliver
The plank in my own eye is my judgement when I impose it upon a brother or sister. This prohibits me from having a clear understanding of His or Her position. Without seeing my own solution it is impossible to understand solutions for others. For this cause I have to look at my own judgements that prohibit my ability to learn. The plank in my own eye is my judgement and by imposing my judgement upon my brother I will never have a clear understanding of His or Her position.
By asking questions and gathering information from myself and the subject it makes it easier to propose solutions to remove the sliver. Otherwise I am imposing my judgements upon others making the sliver more painful.
In Today’s World
In today’s world it is very clear that everything we do is measured. It is a way of life, Google is probably the best at measuring, intruding into everything we think and do. Technology and major advancements in the world would never have happened. Roads, bridges, buildings, marketing and everything else requires successful measurement. Google is one of the greatest users of this principle by using Google analytics we can find out a multitude of measurements. This is the foundation of new discoveries and should be the foundation for our relationship in discovering the Kingdom Of God. Apple is another that practices this principle when they design products and provide support with the end user in mind. All of these are a principle of Jesus Christ.
A Parable Definition
When learning anything about a computer or its software, trial and error is the favored teaching mechanism. The quotes of Jesus have a measurement that takes us to the foundation of decision making. Just like a computer when we find the way it works for us a new light comes into our lives. In many instances there are no directions. We end up learning from our own observations. Quotes on FaceBook are measured with a like or dislike button this determines the likability of the person or the content. These are two different types of judgement one is a new experience the other is political.
Family and Friends Measure Our Quotes
The words we speak are measured by our family, friends and everyone we meet by their own measure. Everything we do is measured from our commitments to our goals that we have. Measurements change as needs change in our life.
One Of My Own Observation
When something happens that affects us in any manner, tragic or up lifting a common response is, “It happened for a reason.” I see two different reactions to this. One, is the person that takes time to learn and examine the situation can learn and be helpful. The other is to ignore it and move on. By examining all situations a person is seeking understanding about life. When I something happens and I ignore it I become ignorant to any learning and helpfulness.
Leonardo Da Vinci Once said,
“The greatest deception people suffer is from their own opinions.”
Is This What Jesus Is Saying?
That everyone is required to do what they believe and it is measured back to them in their own destiny. Events are measured by the receiver according the their own measurement of life. It seems only when a person realizes they are not enjoying life as they would like do they seek a solution. God offers solutions to our misleading beliefs through the quotes of Jesus Christ. For every word we speak has an action. When we are able to see this action it provides tremendous insight to help make decisions that are beneficial in all of our decision making.
Remember when reading any quotes from Jesus, it is important to read them selflessly as a student and a parable to life. In doing this, look for continuity within all quotes and for multiple applications to your life. Please keep in mind my opinions are a reflection of my view of the quotes of Jesus. Reading them as a parable allows everyone the opportunity to digest the content selflessly on their own level.
